JESUS REIGNS IN REACH 2025

All glory, honor, and praise to our King! God has started the new year with absolute triumph!

On the first day of the year, we picked up Pastors Jim & Cleo Hughes and Pastor Amy Jalowy from the airport. We kicked off 2025 with prayer and a mighty power-packed month.

Starting with our good friends Bishop Omae and his beautiful wife Kellen. We enjoyed the tremendous fellowship at The Restoration of Life Centre. The first service of the year was amazing; filled with celebration, a jump house for the watoto (children), wonderful worship, great teaching, healing, salvation, and a tangible move of the Holy Spirit!

At our next ministry opportunity, we were overwhelmed with joyous worship as we joined Gifted Fingers and the WWE (Wednesday Worship Experience) for a night of overwhelming praise, worship, and teaching on worship from Pastor Amy and the whole WWE team.

During our time off we stopped to pray for a long-time friend, Issac Kingdom Prince Ajenda who was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Issac said he had just been on the bed for two months until he got the call that we were coming. In prayer, God enabled him to get up. In months past Issac was a very healthy body builder type weighing in around 125 kgs when Julie and I saw him early last year.

Devastated by the cancer and treatments Issac had lost sixty kgs, almost half his weight. The whole team gathered around him and prayed until he said that he felt healed! We then spent some time in visiting, and fellowship hearing about his experience dealing with cancer before leaving. When we left, he felt so good he walked us down four flights of stairs to the car and farewells!  I am reminded of the importance of visiting the sick as part of our call in the community of Christ. As an update, Issac went to the doctor, and they couldn’t find his cancer on the imaging. Then they did further tests and a biopsy to reveal his cancer was still there. We ask you to stand in prayer for this man of God and ask that God restore him fully despite the bad report!

Our following opportunity was when we had a three-day engagement at the House of Solutions Donholm. We had two great nights of teaching on fasting and then prayer, followed by a powerful Sunday service with Reverend Timothy and his wonderful team.

We visited the opening week of Glory Christian Education Center with our partner Beatrice

where she enrolls 680 students from the surrounding slum areas. Without the school, most of the students would not have an education, clothes, and even food to eat.

We were very excited to return later that week and dedicate donated computers to create the school’s first computer lab! Praise Jesus in providing exactly what we need when we need it to serve His children.

Later we visited a rescue home for sexually abused children. They have seventy-two children now with an ever-increasing need. We were able to partner with them and bring some much-needed food supplies to the home thanks to amazing donors like you!

We squeezed in some fun shopping at the Maasai Market, a trip through the walking safari park, and stopped by to feed the giraffes before we had to say goodbye to Pastor Amy. (Can you believe we are only to the 15th?)

Before leaving Nairobi... Jim, Cleo, Julie and I got to minister with our friends Prophet Andrew and Emily Omondi, the Pastors at TOGAN Kitengela. What a great time of ministry and fellowship with these wonderful men and women of God. Our move to Kisumu was very exciting. Since our ministry partner Joseph was feeling lightheaded Jim and I split the driving responsibilities and as Jim says he was able to mark “driving in Kenya” off his bucket list. Side note, the girls (Julie & Cleo) flew to Kisumu but their flight was delayed so many times we beat them to town and Joseph who God healed on the way drove to pick them up from the airport while Jim and I checked into our new space for the month.

After reaching Kisumu we have had several great meetings, put the car in the shop for repairs, and set up some medical shadowing with a local social worker so that Cleo could start to get a feel for the needs here in Kenya. We had a fantastic last-of-the-month service with Pastors Peters & Dorcas over at TMLT (The Mountain of the Lord's Temple) once again filled with great worship, teaching, salvations, healings, and fellowship!

And finally, at this writing, we spent a great afternoon ministering to 300 Teens at one of the local high schools where 150 young people gave their hearts to Jesus Christ! Today is the 31st and we are heading out for another ministry opportunity filled with the hope and joy of the Most High God! Keep us in your prayers for ministry, safety, outreach, funding and God's will for REACH Ministries.

Love you and pray God bless you and keep you until we meet again,

Richard, Julie, Jim, & Cleo
